We could go on and on about reflectionband®, but sometimes it’s best to let others do the talking.
We chose reflectionband® for the New Mexico Department of Transportation because we felt this product was new and innovative. It’s something that we hadn’t seen before…to prevent injury and death.
Robert J. Archuleta
Director of the Highway Safety Office
The overall goal of our office is to save lives and reduce injuries on our roadways. It’s no secret that with the advancement of technology, distracted driving has become a major issue for our drivers. We hope when they glance in the rear-view mirror, this will be a quick and unobtrusive reminder to pay attention behind the wheel.

I had the pleasure of meeting Frank Rosello, CEO and Co Founder of Reflection Band, LLC, and he personally introduced me to their product innovation, reflectionband®. I took one of the company’s proprietary “Don’t Text And Drive” reflectionband® design that was given to me and installed it on the rear-view mirror of my daughter’s car mirror and she hates it!
So I know it great for parents! LOL!!

The reflectionband® made a keen impression on me as a father of 3 teen drivers.
I brought home the reflectionband® from a trade show I attended and I put it on my 17 y/o twins old Toyota. They were both in driver training and I thought it would be a useful reminder for them. In our State of Maryland, parents have to do 60 hours of documented driving with the kids before they take a road test. That was 120 hours for me!
The reflectionband® remained on the mirror all during our driving and well after. As a matter of fact, it is still there.
I asked my now 18 y/o daughter if she thought it was a distraction at all. She replied that it was a great reminder to stow her phone as she adjusted the mirror when she got ready to drive and solid reinforcement while driving. The not-so subliminal reminder worked like a charm every time she got behind the wheel.
And as my 16 y/o was taking her driving test this past month, the MVA Driving Test Administrator asked her about the reflectionband® on the rear-view mirror. My daughter replied, with a sigh, that Dad made her put it on there. The administrator was impressed with the simple message and prominent display.
Texting while driving is a massive problem. Teenage drivers, and adults, are at risk every time they grab their smart phones. Millions and millions of dollars are being invested on technology and behavioral change programs. But I can tell you as a father of 3 new drivers, a reflectionband®attached to the rear- view mirror reinforced positive behavior and keeps my kids safer when they are behind the wheel.
